The Green Jacket

An individual prize across every round: net, gross or Stableford.

Everyone’s scores add up across the trip, and the leader “wears” the jacket. The race lines show who needs what to catch them.

Settings (organisers)

Name it: The Green Jacket, The Groom’s Jacket, Order of Merit or your own.
Scoring: Net or Gross, ranked by strokes against par over the holes played (so “+3” beats “+5”, and a skipped round doesn’t help anyone), or Stableford (2 for a net par, highest wins).
Handicap allowance from 50% to 100%, and an optional maximum handicap.
Tie-break: Countback (best last 9, then 6, 3 and 1 holes of the final round), Low hcp, or Playoff.
Daily winners, and which rounds count.

Ambrose scrambles and foursomes don’t count by default, because they’re team scores. Rounds still in progress count as they stand.
